Finding The Midpoint Of A Line

This lesson covers:

  1. How to find the midpoint of a line segment
  2. E.g. 'Find the midpoint between points A (-6, 2) and B (7, -8)

A line segment is a section of line that connects two points. So on the diagram below, the section of line between A and B could be called a line segment.

Diagram showing a line segment between points A and B on a coordinate grid.

What is the 'midpoint' of a line?

The point right in the middle of the line

The coordinates of the end of the line

The middle of the x axis
